Joe Louis Jolly
Mr. Jolly, age 72, of Charlotte died September 21, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital.
A visitation will be held Saturday, September 25 from 12:00-1:00pm. Homegoing will be from 1:00-2:00pm at A.E. Grier Funeral Home on Statesville Ave.
Mr. Jolly was born July 1, 1938 and graduated from Second Ward High School in 1958. He was employed by Eastman Kodak for 18 years. Joe and Elizabeth owned Jolly's Shoppe for 18 years.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Lowery Jolly; sisters, Gladys Hoover, Doshia Mae Smith. He has 3 children, daughters Anona Gordon (Mike) and Carol D. Jolly and son Vernon Jolly; two stepchildren, Paulisa Moore and Darryl Ross (Mosetta). He also has a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by brothers Charles and Vernon Jolly.
