I met John at lunch in Las Vegas 7 years ago. Due to his genuine interest in people and his friends in particular, he passed my business card to a friend of his. That friend is now a valued employee and friend of mine. The Denny family should be proud.

I met John at the Press Box a dozen or so years ago. We enjoyed some good conversations together and usually a good laugh as well. I will miss and always remember my good friend.

John was a good friend of mine. I met him at the Press Box and he was a genuinely nice man. He kept us entertained with his stories and was always fun to be around. He connected me with my current job and I will always be grateful. One of his greatest finishing lines was "and I was in the Navy". My memories of this and other stories will always bring a smile to me and his friends and will keep him in our memories for a long time. God bless you John, you will be missed-Art Whitaker
