John Robert Hendrix
HARRISBURG -- Mr. Hendrix, 50, of Harrisburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at CMC NorthEast.
He is survived by his wife, Beth M. Hendrix, of the home; son, Dustin Alexander Hendrix, of the home; daughter, Renee Elizabeth Hendrix, of the home; parents, William and Patricia Hendrix, of Greenville, SC; brothers, Bill Hendrix, of Indianapolis, IN, David Hendrix, of Fountain Inn, SC, and Steven Hendrix, of Mauldin, SC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
John was born on April 24, 1960 in Greenville, SC. He was a member of Mauldin United Methodist Church. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in Mauldin, SC in 1978 and from Clemson University in 1983. John was employed by Duke Energy as a lead applications developer for over 30 years. He was an avid gamesman and an active supporter of Hickory Ridge High School Band Programs. John was a loving father and devoted husband.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord from 5:00 until 6:30 pm. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 7:00 pm with Rev. Don Burleson officiating and speakers Mr. Chris Sechrest and John's daughter, Renee Hendrix.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Hendrix family.

To all the Hendrix's: My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you in this time of such sorrow. I only knew John and his family briefly however, they seemed so caring and geniune, very easy to be around. I am sure he will be greatly missed from alot of us that had the pleasure to know him. May John always rest in wonderful Peace!
