Hard to know that Johnny left us.so many years ago.
However, he would be proud that relatives still live on

Dear Vi and Family,
I was looking on line for tribute that was posted to my husband, John Lyles, Sr., who passed away on November 22, 2009, from cancer, at home surrounded by his family and saw that your husband, same name recently passed. Since my husband is originally from Salisbury, NC, I would think there is probably some family relation. We also have a John Lyles Jr. I hope you find comfort in knowing that he is not suffering anymore and is at peace. I know I have. My name is Linda Lyles, Uniondale, New York. God Bless you and your family

I was so fortune to live on Ridge Road, Richmond, Virginia near the Lyles family. The mother, Miss Betty and my mother, Frances were best friends, so all the Lyles children became our best friends. We loved Johnny, his quick wit and that wonderful smile. We enjoyed many times of joy. While our hearts are heavy on his passing, our hearts are also grateful that Johnny was our friend.
