I have only vague memories of John, but the pictures helped to refresh them. I recognized Aunt Betsy, Aunt Sarah and Uncle Monty. They also helped convey that he had a good life filled with friends and family, just not enough time. I know that for my Aunt Gabrella, the loss of a child must be profound. My condolences to all.

John and I went to elementary school together, our famlies moved to the south side of town and low and behold we were in jr high together. We dated the 8th and 9th grade and had a blast. The last time I saw John he walked into the Marriott lounge where I was bartending, about 20 yrs ago. He hadn't changed a bit. We had a great conversation and laughs. I often wondered what he was up to. Take care John you will be missed.

John was a very good friend to me back when his hair went halfway to his waist. We worked together at CHI, rode in his Camaro, played air-guitar, and performed together in "Flowers for Algernon" at the Charlotte Little Theater. I regret that I haven't seen him in many many years, and I am deeply saddened by his departure - although I believe it is for bigger and better things. My sincerest condolences to the Pratt family and friends. So long, buddy.

We are very sorry to hear of the loss of John. Our prayers will be with all of you. It saddened our hearts greatly. My husband worked for John for several years. During this time we went through a diffucult time with the sickness of our children. He was so kind and helped us through alot. He was truly a Angel to our family. He will always be in our hearts and we will see him again in heaven.

My family was close with Don and Gabby Pratt and I went to school with John during the 70's.
Went on a camping trip with John in the NC mountains during the early 80's. We hiked the Toe River and made a base camp far off the beaten path. It was the most peaceful, serene trip. We spent hours in complete silence as we followed this beautiful river throughout the Pisgah Forest. John had an incredible sense of peace and the most infectious laugh. Goodbye old friend.
