Jonathan McDaniel Obituary

Mr. Jonathan Graves McDaniel was born on July 17, 1956. he entered into eternal rest on Saturday December 8, 2018 at home. Jonathan graduated from Myers Park High School, Class of 1974 and was employed at Earthgrain Bakery for 30 years; later at Lance-Snyder for 15 years.

He was affectionately called 'Uncle Pete' and 'John Boy' by his family.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his father Talmus McDaniel, and his wife, Sylvia McDaniel.

Those left to cherish his memories and celebrate his life are; his mother, Thelma Wallace McDaniel; brother, Barry McDaniel of Los Angeles, CA; sisters, Amelia McDaniel and Leslie McDaniel-Clay (Robert), both of Charlotte, NC; nephews, Mario McDaniel, Steven Burke, and Kevin Gilliard, all of Charlotte, NC; aunts, Louise McDaniel of London, WV, Joann Johnson and Mary Wallace, both of Charlotte, NC, and Janelle Wallace of Bronx, NY; and a host of cousins and friends.

Jonathan used to play basketball with my twin brother Jake and me when he lived on Templeton Avenue and we on Myrtle Avenue, back in junior and senior high. He was a great kid and always fun to be with. I miss not being able to catch up with him. He was always a great person to me.
