Henry & Sue Hartsell

September 4, 2005

L.G. “Ben” Richards was a gentleman who maintained the same positive, friendly disposition every time we saw him. We first met him around 1960 when he immediately became a good friend. He was interested in whatever we discussed, well informed and involved. Ben, Gertha, and Anna visited us at several locations of our Air Force assignments as well as in our retirement in Oklahoma. We also were their guests in their beautiful home on Lake Norman. Ben was always well dressed and an active member in any group in which he found himself, including family reunions. He always seemed to be involved in his church. Ben was extremely considerate and very generous. We cannot recall his saying anything negative about anyone. Ben was a wonderful friend, a great brother-in-law, and a fine example that will be greatly missed.

With deepest sympathy to Gertha, Anna, Jean, and Kerry and their families as you mourn his passing and celebrate the life of this wonderful man, we wish you God’s comfort in your great loss. We will be with you in spirit. Love, Henry and Sue
