When I transferred to Charlotte/Douglas Intl Airport in 1997, I met Pete on the ramp over on C-concourse. I worked many of flights with him. He was very cordial and you very rarely see him upset. He had a good domineer about his work ethic and work load on the ramp. A quiet person but well liked by his peers. He will be deeply missed. My heart felt condolences goes out to his family and all. I am very saddened for your loss. God bless him...

I met Pete when I moved to Charlotte. I was 19 years old and working at the Southpark Mall. Pete was working there in the record store. We started dating and he shared his endless knowledge of music with me including his fabulous personal impersonation of the amazing Al Green. I met his friends, who meant everything to him. Bob Davis, Sherry Willey, Bob Patterson, Steve Thompson. Friends he has held dear to this day. He loved you all very much. We shared a lot of love and laughter together. Pete's heart was special and his quiet kindness touched so many. I feel blessed beyond measure to have maintained contact and our friendship over so many years. Rest in Peace, my friend, with the Prince of Peace. I know we will meet again and talk about life and music over a tomato & Duke's mayonnaise sandwich. Love & condolences to Mark & Francis & all of Pete's extended family.

Lewis & I grew up in the late 60´s & 70s together at Eastway Jr & Garinger High Schools. He was always a good friend- kind-hearted and a big, gentle fellow. My fondest memories of Pete were playing youth basketball together for 3rd Presbyterian Church´s league teams. We had some much fun- playing and going into `battle´ together. He was a great teammate & even better person. Love you, Pete! I know you´re in the loving embrace of our Lord & Savior. I´ll see you one day, Brother.
In His Name,

Pete and Mark and I are cousins. We all saw each other on slot of Sunday's at the Grandparents house. As we grew, we all grew apart but family ties and love was always there. He was such a character. His Facebook kept me informed as to what was happening with local hangouts from my youth such as The Thirsty Beaver, lol. Last time i saw Pete was at my mom's funeral, back in August and he brought his Mom. I loved his smile and his laugh, he had his dad's laugh. I loved his Facebook posts about mater sandwiches and Duke's Mayonaise. Until that day Pete......

Today we say goodbye to dear friend, colleague and brother. Pete was one of the kindest gentlemen you could have ever met. His generosity was genuine. Never expecting anything in return for a good deed done.
He´s truly going to be missed by all that knew him. He was just that good of a man.
He used to say to me "And so shines a good deed in a weary world ".
Pete was full of good deeds.
He loved the Stones but I was a Led Zeppelin guy but he was able to get to revisit "Exile On Main street".
You don´t know a good friend like Pete Davis for 37 years and not be changed by his kindness.
This is hard. I´m surely going to miss my friend.
I´m going to miss his morning texts blowing my phone up with funny messages.
I´m going to miss my friend Pete. Rest easy my brother.
