Lisa Oxidine Obituary

Lisa Richardson Oxidine, 51 of Mooresville, NC passed away February 13th, 2018 surrounded by her family. A native of Longmont Colorado, her family relocated to Charlotte, NC in 1975 where she graduated from North Mecklenburg High School. Shortly after graduation she married Randy Oxidine and they had three boys who were her greatest joy.

She earned a degree from Mitchell Community College and became a Certified Medical Assistant. She was employed with Lakeside Family Physicians and Davidson Clinic. Lisa was very proud of her work but was more proud of her three boys, Gavin, Griffin and Greyson. Nobody messed with her boys....or their friends as she was affectionately known as MommaOx. Her mac and cheese, green bean casserole and chocolate chip cookies kept the Oxidine home filled with the noise and chaos of boys seven days a week. Lisa welcomed chaos because her motto was to live every day to the fullest and make every moment count. The memories she made with her family and friends along the way will be etched in their hearts forever.

Lisa is survived by Randy, her husband of 30 years; son Gavin of Columbia, S.C. son Griffin and wife Jessica of Raleigh and son, Greyson of Charlotte; brother, Michael of Columbia, SC and his daughter Savannah; and Granddogs, Lola, Boone, Cooper, Gracie, Zoey and big Major.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Neiman and Sue Hendren, her beloved stepdad Grant Richardson and her dog, Stella.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Cornelius, NC on Saturday 17th, 2018 at 2pm. The Celebration of Life gathering will follow immediately in the church Family Life Center.

The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff from Hospice of Iredell County for their compassion, loving care and support.

In lieu of flowers, Lisa has requested memorials be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in her honor that maybe someday breast cancer will be no more.

Lisa was and always will be an amazing woman. Every moment that I got to spend with her she always had a big smile on her face and she was ready to go and do anything. She had nothing but love and kindness to give, especially to her sons. It breaks my heart to know that she is gone but her battle is over and God knew it was time for her to come home. She will always be remembered. Forever in our hearts.

My deepest sympathy to the family of a dear friend, Lisa. I worked with Lisa at Cornwell Drugstore in Davidson, NC and she was the most beautiful Sweet loving person I knew! She always had a willing heart and spirit to help everyone with her amazing bubbly personality! Then when Lisa started working at Davidson Clinic I would see her and always enjoy that Sweet humble caring personality until her health declined. I hope you can know and understand to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! A beautiful Angel up in Heaven smiling, caring, loving everyone! I loved Lisa! May God Bless you all!

So sorry to hear of Lisa's passing. We lived in your neighborhood (Birkdale) during her initial treatment. We didn't really know each other well, but when she learned I had been diagnosed she called me with encouragement, advice, and also some laughter. She touched my life and I've never forgotten. I try always to pay it forward. She lived well and let her light shine.
