Louise Hurst Obituary

Louise Parks Hurst
CHERAW -- Mrs. Hurst, age 66, died Monday, August 11, 2008. Graveside service and entombment will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. A visitation will follow the service at the Westside Baptist Church Family Life Center.
Mrs. Hurst was born January 31, 1942, in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Webster and Ethel Mae McLain Parks. She was a graduate of Cheraw High School and retired as Chesterfield County Voter Registration and Election Director with 22 years of service. Mrs. Hurst was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Louise was a loving mother and special 'Nanny Louise'. She was married to the late Weldon Boyce Hurst and was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Hurst.
She is survived by 1 son, Barry Hurst and wife Ellen of Cheraw, SC; 4 grandchildren, Tristin Hurst, Charlotte Hurst, Clayton Hurst, and Cameron Hurst; companion, Phillip 'Bubba' McLaurin of Cheraw, SC; 1 brother, Webster (Brenda) Parks, Jr. of Chesterfield, SC; and 1 sister, Doris (Jerry) Deese of Patrick, SC.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Chesterfield County, P.O. Box 293, Chesterfield, SC 29709 or to Westside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1417, Cheraw, SC 29520.
