I totally miss Martha...! 8yrs now!
When we first met, I wasn't sure if she liked me or me her, but as we talked & shared, found out that we had many common interests.
So started the commonalities we shared.
We liked Art & parties & dogs!...especially neighborhood ones. I was able to introduce her to people she may not have known in the neighborhood. Before she was sick.
We had many good dinners, at her house & ours. She loved oysters & so did I and took her a pot of oyster stew one night and she said she loved it.
I introduced her to Roger & Karen, in our neighborhood, as we had been good friends. They struck up a good relationship that was helpful to Martha in later days.
I would have been more available to Martha, had I not been involved in my Mother's care for 6yrs & my husband's care at that time. Martha and I were of different political stances at that time, as I'm sure we always were....but it didn't matter...we were friends & could talk. and I miss her!!!

We enjoyed Martha's wit and 'tell it like it is' personality for 50 years and wish there were more years to come. She will be missed.

Martha, thanks for your indomitable spirit, graciousness, keen eyes and heart for those and things around you,for our times to splice the main brace together and for just sometimes being there. With your departure, not only comes the loss of a mother, sister, friend, confidant but just an all around nice person that we had the privilege to get to know.
