Nancy Fuller
Mrs. Fuller, 85, of Greensboro, formerly of Cornelius, passed away on September 28, 2009 in her residence at Well Spring Retirement Community, Greensboro, NC.
She was born and raised in Huntersville, she graduated from Mitchell University and after a brief career, she married and traveled abroad with her husband in the U.S. Army.
Sharing a devotion to her Lord with her husband, she lived an exemplary Christian life actively involved in several church leadership roles in missions, teaching, music, and children several church leadership roles in missions, teaching and music where ever her travels took her. Her most blessed church relationship was during sixteen years spent in Heath, Ohio, where she and her husband were instrumental in Heath First Baptist Church's early beginning and growth. She was a dual member of Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, and Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cornelius, NC.
An unfilled passion in Nursing was exemplified in her love for children, her volunteer work and nurturing her family during their illnesses - first a son, then a husband, and finally her mother.
Her husband of fifty years, John Fuller, her twenty-two year old son, John Lee Fuller, and her parents, Robert Frank Knox and Edythe Price Knox of Huntersville preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters - Linda and husband Doug Ueland, and Gwen Flowers; seven grandchildren - Julie and husband J.C. Pender, April and husband Tim Sullivan, Haley Flowers, Whitney Flowers, Daniel Jake Flowers, Zackery Flowers, and Emily Flowers, and four great grand children - Mckayla and Timmy Sullivan, and Sadie and Connor Pender.
Memorials in her name may be given to Bethel Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cornelius with Rev. J.E. Wayland, Jr. and Rev. Larry Pumpelly officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10-11, at the church.
