Pamela Hinson Obituary

Pamela S. Hinson
MONROE -- Mrs. Hinson, 54, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. She was born on December 15, 1951 in Lebanon, Tennessee. Pam was a kind, caring, loving mother and woman who never knew a stranger. Whenever someone was sick and afflicted she always sent some kind of word or encouragement whether it be a decorative card, a phone call or just a smile. She did what ever she could to help. She loved the Lord, her family and that she was going to be a grandmother for the first time. She will be missed by all that knew her and who's lives she touched. She was an employee of Charlotte Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Hinson. Pam is survived by her husband, Rev. Mike Hinson; son, Zackery Caleb 'Z-man' Hinson and wife, Lisa, of Lake Park; daughter, Michelle H. Mullins and husband, Seneca, of Monroe; father and step-mother, Joe Swann and Patricia of Mint Hill, NC; mother, Irona A. Swann of Hendersonville, TN; brother, John Swann of Charlotte; step-brother, Vann Elliott of Raleigh.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3618 Morgan Mill Rd., Monroe, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 505 East Blvd., Suite 101, Charlotte, NC 28203 or Make a Wish Foundation of Central & Western NC, Inc., Interstate Tower, 121 W. Trade St., Suite 1600, Charlotte, NC 28202.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Trauma Intensive Care unit of Carolinas Medical Center and the Union County EMS and trooper C. M. Trouille. May God bless each one.

Pam & I were neighbors in Idlewild at age 14 or 15. Pam was always outgoing with a smile on her face. She was always so much fun! Mike & Pam introduced me to my husband Reid & Pam was my bridesmaid almost 35 years ago. She loved to do crafts & I taught her to weave a few baskets at my house. I will miss her & her beautiful smile. Our thoughts are with Mike,Michelle & Zack as well as her entire family.

I was very surprised and saddened to read about Pam's passing when I glanced at the Charlotte Observer today. My wife and I were the videographers for the wedding of Zach and Lisa. I came to know Pam during my visits to Charlotte Plastic Surgery Center. She knew that I had once worked in Charlotte television and that I owned a video production company. She always told me that she wanted us to produce the wedding video, when the time came. I remember Pam as being such a sweet person with a great personality and I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I did not realize until today that your mother and mother-in-law worked in my doctor's office and that I had seen her there many times. Her radiant smile could brighten anyone's day. I will miss seeing her beautiful smile and knowing such a beautiful spirit. May GOD bless and keep you.

Mike, I am not sure you remember us we are members of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and I remember you all well. Pam's dad came down and helped the choir of which I am a life time member. I loved Pam, I would run into her here in Monroe a

lots of times and we would chat about our daughters. I have one living in Charleston, S.C. and I know your daughter got married there.

Pam will be missed, her beautiful smile and she wanted to stay in touch with how our daugher was doing. You have my deepest sympathy and Pam will be looking down on us until me we meet her there. Pam's life was short lived, but we don't question why? God bless you and her family

Love to you all.

I taught Pam calligraphy many years ago. We became friends. I think everyone who met her became her friend because she was such a fun person to be around. She came to my office several months ago asking if we had a job opening. We did'nt at that time but I couldn't help but think, "Pam and I would never get any work done if we worked together". She had her flip flops on (the ones that had lights on them). I think Heaven needed a comedianne. I have a father, brother, and sister there. I know she is making them laugh. She will be missed so much but, we have to believe that God is taking good care of her and He who knows more than us knows what He is doing. God Bless You All.

Pam was a wonderful woman and always asked me how my family was doing each time I saw her. I can remember standing in the reception hall at my wedding holding Pam's hand and talking about life, and marriage. I still have the ring bearer pillow she made me. I love her and will miss her.

Zack,

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. It breaks my heart to know that you have to go thru such a tragedy. I don't know what it is like to lose a mother but I do know what it is like to lose a brother so abruptly in a car accident. I still think about him everyday and miss him more than anything. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I will be out of town this weekend for the arrangements but I am here for you if you need anything. Love ya..
