Charlotte, North Carolina - The family of Paul McIntyre is saddened to share the news that Paul passed away on Wednesday April 21st, 2021, after a long period of poor health.
Humble beginnings in Huyton (Liverpool), traveled to the US at 18 to discover his father relatives.
Drafted to the US ARMY, which luck would have it allowed him to meet his soulmate, Hwaja McIntyre.
Celebrating 50 years of ups and downs with Hwaja;
Paul traveled to almost every continent and was known for making friends in every smoking section along the way. Lifelong learner, prolific inventor, Liverpool Kiss Deliverer, and entrepreneur who loved animals, wilderness, and discovery. He was known for his positive attitude and living in the moment. A true salesman and lover of life.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Hwaja; children: Curtis (Poery) and Moe; grandchild, Alexandra.
If you were blessed with the opportunity to meet Paul, he would rather you raise a toast and remember him at his best.
A private service will be held at the family's request.

Hwaja, I have been trying to get a hold of Paul, since he had a heartattack. I'm so sorry. I just found out he had passed. He was 1 of the best friends I ever had. Since I met him in basic training, in 1968. He will definitely be missed. I hope u, Maureen (mo) and Curtis are doing ok. If u need anything, please let me no. Danny pizzutillo. Deepest sympathy to Hwaja and family on the passing of Paul. A great man whom I will hold fond memories of forever. I will never forget how I was looked after as a child by both Paul and Hwaja as a child visiting from the UK leaving me with fond holiday memories for the rest of my life and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I was fortunate to meet Paul many years ago after mutual relatives in the U.K. put us in contact with each other. He invited my wife and I to meet him and Hwaja for dinner at their home. We had such a great time, and I'll always remember his fun and generous nature. Never would I have guessed that there was someone locally here in Charlotte that shared a connection with me to my family in Liverpool.
I'm glad to have known Paul and was sad to hear of his passing. Our deepest sympathies and condolences to Hwaja, Curtis, and the rest of the family.
