Paul Ostrow Obituary

Paul David Ostrow died peacefully in his home on September 30, 2016 surrounded by his family. Paul was born in Brooklyn, NY, on April 20, 1937 to the late Sara and Ken Ostrow and was preceded in death by his son Stuart. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Connie, and their dog Lexi, along with children and grandchildren: Steven (Zachary and Mallory); Lane and Elly (Rachel, Alex, Danny): and Debbie and Rory Vitale (Jake, Logan and Joey). Paul is also survived by his younger siblings Joel, Eric and Lauren.

Paul was a pioneer in the textile industry and an extensive world traveler, mostly business and often with his family for pleasure. Paul was charming, witty, hard-working and had a tremendous personality. His generosity touched a great number of people.

Paul's family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Charlotte Regional Hospice. The funeral, followed by a reception, will begin at noon on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the Hebrew Cemetery at 1801 Statesville Road, Charlotte NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Global Post-Traumatic Injury Foundation (www.GPTSIF.org) or Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, (www.HPCCR.org).

Arrangements are in the care of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, online at www.hankinsandwhittington.com.

I have lost my words to express my feelings for Mr. Paul. Its really shocking news for me. I worked for him from Pakistan and Let me state that he was like a teacher for me. I learned a lot from him. I was in USA in September and tried to reach him but could not.The only cell number I had, was not getting through. All my family is in great sorrow. He was such a nice personality and wonderful human. He would remain on our thoughts.
