Only days ago did my sister Judy and I learn of this great loss. Rod was Daddy's best friend and we are saddened that they are now both gone but we celebrate that they are together in God's kingdom working/laughing/playing together once again. May all the fond memories bring a sense of joy to you Betty and the family...and may the love of our Lord and Savior begin to heal your heavy hearts. We understand your pain.
Much Love, Amy and Judy

We only today learned of the loss of Mr. Scattergood. He was always so kind and gracious, as were the entire crew when we visited at the lake with David and got to know all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Sincerely, Dan and Shirley Jakeman

Hi Betty, I worked many years with Rod at Henley Paper Co. He was the finest mill rep. I ever worked with. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Dear David: I was saddened to read of your father's death, then the human interest story in the paper today. What a great father he must have been. I will be thinking of you and your family in the sad days ahead.

Rod touched so many lives, and fortunately we were two of those! Our world is forever enriched by his words, his smile, and his actions.
