Roger Manus Obituary

Roger Dale Manus
Mr. Manus, 58, of Charlotte, died Monday, September 1, 2008 at his residence.
His funeral service will be held 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 3 at Wayside Baptist Church, Midland, where he was a member. Pastor Richard Collins will officiate. Interment will follow in Charlotte Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 12:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church.
Born May 5, 1950 in Matthews, NC, Mr. Manus was a son of the late Frank Alexander Manus and Ella Baucom Manus. He graduated East Mecklenburg High School and attended C.P.C.C. to learn piano tuning. He served as pianist at his church and enjoyed performing gospel music. He was a truck driver. In addition to his parents, a sister, Carolyn Squires preceded him in death. Mr. Manus was a loving husband and father, and a faithful servant to the Lord.
Survivors include his wife, Dixie Rambeau Manus; a daughter, Amy Manus Templin and her husband, Scott, of Monroe; four grandchildren, Amber, Brittany, Alexis and Scott, Jr.; a sister, Lois Tull; and three brothers, David, Larry and Randy Manus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care, P.O. Box 33549, Charlotte, NC 28233-3549. Arrangements by McEwen, Mint Hill Chapel.
