Rudy Dorsey Obituary

Rudy V. Dorsey, Sr.
Mr. Dorsey, of Charlotte, died October 18, 2006.
Funeral service is 11:00 AM Friday at Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, with visitation at 10:30 AM. Interment in National Cemetery, Salisbury.
Survivors include his spouse, Isabell Dorsey of Charlotte; sons, Rudy V. Dorsey, Jr., Scott Dorsey, Larry Washington, all of Charlotte, Steve Ivey of Chicago, IL, and Antonio Farris of Charlotte; daughters, Ms. Rosalyn G. Dorsey of Oxon Hill, MD, Ms. Val Jean Ivey of Charlotte, and Ms. Juanza Mackey of Raleigh, NC; and brothers, Bradey Dorsey and Abdulah, both of Charlotte.
A special thanks to CMC Trauma Unit for all their loving care.
Alexander Funeral Home is serving the Dorsey family.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
