Sonia Long Obituary
Mrs. Long, 32, of Charlotte, went to be with Jesus on August 16, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon at New Macedonia of Faith on Thursday, August 23, 2007. The wake will be Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 7:00 till 8:00 PM at Beasley's Funeral Home on Statesville Road.
Born August 15, 1975 to the parents of Sandra Elaine Walker and Johnny Little, she graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in 1994 and graduated from Brookstone College and Macon Tech in Macon, GA.
Sonia leaves to mourn, her mother, Sandra E. Walker; her father, Johnny Little; her grandmother, Dr. Ona Lee Murray; three children, Veronica Long, Jessica Long and Daniel Long; six sisters, Chandra Murray, Shellondra Walker, Francessa Walker, Contressa Walker, Charmese Walker, and Toya Little; one brother, Nashuan Murray; three aunts, Peggy Chisholm, Sheila Beville of Korean, and Patricia Newman; two uncles, David Charles Glenn and Darryl Murray, all of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to The Veronica and Jessica Long Trust Fund, care of Dr. O.L. Murray, 1232 Allenbrook Road.

I remember the first day I met Sonia at OrthoCarolina, I thought to myself, Wow...what an awesome person. Her smile was contagious, like beaming sunshine. It was an honor and pleasure to work with and to know such a wonderful person.She left us way too soon, but knowing she is with the Lord, and we will see her again in heaven is a true blessing. Sonia I will remember for her sweet disposition and contagious smile. She always had quiet presence about her. She will be sorely missed by all friends and coworkers at OrthoCarolina. She is with her Lord now and may her legacy live on in her children. May God be with her children and family and guide you all through this time. Keep Him close. Sonia was one of the most sincere and sweetest people I have ever known. She genuinely cared for others. I have known Sonia for 2 years through work and I can honestly say that she always greeted you with a smile and was a good person and mom! She loved all of her children dearly, and you could see it in her eyes when she spoke of them. I will miss her and the positive influence she had on everyone around her!

Words cannot begin to say what my heart feels. Sonia is at Peace, and is with the Lord. For that, I praise Him, and know she is happy.
However, my heart hurts for you all. OrthoCarolina has had a big loss, of a sweet smile, Christian presence, and a hard worker.
