Stephanie Warshauer Obituary

Stephanie Louise Warshauer, 32, died tragically as a result of an automobile accident on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Greensboro, NC.

A Greensboro native, Stephanie was a 2003 graduate of Page High School. She attended Western Carolina University, graduating in 2009 with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Stephanie was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. For the past two years, she has been employed by Blue Tree Systems. Her business trips took her across the United States and also allowed her to fulfill a lifelong dream to visit Ireland.

Her passport reflects her life of adventure with stamps from Israel, South Africa, Ghana, Punta Cana, Ireland and Mexico to name a few. An adventure seeker, Stephanie took advantage of her location, repelling down mountains and even swimming with sharks.

Stephanie lived life with passion. She was artistically gifted as a talented dancer and had a great singing voice. She had a love for music, books and movies - she was very excited about the return of "Will & Grace".

The memory of Stephanie lives on through her sister, Ashley of San Francisco, CA; father, Phil Warshauer, his wife Beth and her children Lee and Anna Daniel of Charlotte, NC; grandfathers, P.D. Ostwalt of Colfax, NC and Stu Warshauer of Kendall Park, NJ; her faithful canine companions, Roxy and Kuma; as well as many extended family members and an abundance of close friends.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her mother, Alisa Louise Ostwalt and grandmothers, Iris Louise Ostwalt and Lauretta Stahl Warshauer.

A Memorial Minyan will be held at 12 pm Friday, October 6th, and 7 pm Saturday, October 7th, at Temple Beth El, 5101 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC and also 4 pm Sunday, October 8th at Temple Emanuel, 1129 Jefferson Road, Greensboro, NC. Interment at the Hebrew Cemetery in Charlotte will be private.

In recognition of the impact B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (BBYO) had on Stephanie's life, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, gifts be made to support BBYO - Eastern Region, 5007 Providence Road, Suite 106, Charlotte, NC 28116. https://fan.bbyo.org/support/donate/eastern

I have such special memories of time spent with Stephanie. I was so happy to find Stephanie- a fellow member of the tribe at Westen Carolina. We road tripped to Asheville multiple times for the high holidays and I remember instantly feeling connected to her. She had an amazing sense of humor and was always up for adventure.
Sending her family & friends my deepest sympathy and love. May her memory be a blessing and bring you peace.

I had not spoken to Stephanie in several years, but a while back she was often in my close circle of friends who would grab dinner occasionally and hang out at our townhomes in northern Greensboro. She is my age and it's beyond heartbreaking to think of her life being cut short so soon. She was always so nice to me and so kind. I hope she is embracing her Mom <3 I'm so sorry for your loss.

"Stepho" was one of the most genuine and loving people I have ever had the privilege to know. Her thoughtfulness, and care for others was tremendous.
I'm devastated by her passing, and I'm wishing my sincerest condolences to the family. I would also thank the family for giving our world such an amazing, inspiring, cheerful, intelligent, strong and independent woman. Her life was truly an exemplary one. We are all so grateful for your sharing such a loving soul with us.
Her life ended far too soon, but I know all our world was bettered for having her in it. She will be very sorely missed, but I feel a sense of deep gratitude for having had her in my life for the thirteen years that I did. My life, as I'm positive others will agree, was enriched and made better by the good fortune of being able to call her my friend.
To the family, I cannot begin to understand how hard this is, but rest assured all the love Stephanie put out into the world is coming right back to you. We all mourn with you. Zichronah livracha.

I don't even know what to say except Im so very sorry. I remember Stephanie as a little girl coming to our cookouts at Huntsview. That smile will shine bright forever. My mom also sends her love and hugs. Be blessed my friend.
