Stephen Kovacs Obituary
RALEIGH -- Mr. Kovacs, 85, died peacefully Sunday, June 15, 2008. There will be a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2008 at St. Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Church in Garner. Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
Stephen served his country in the United States Marine Corps during WWII and the Korean War.
Stephen was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Childers Kovacs. Survivors are his sons, Robert Kovacs and wife Eileen, and John Kovacs and wife Valerie; grandchildren, Robert, Jennifer, Kristopher Kovacs, Stephen Kovacs II, Sarah and Emily Kovacs; and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the American Lung Association, 3801 Lake Boone Tr. Suite 190, Raleigh, NC 27607, or Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301, Attn: Gift Processing.
