Thad Bolin

Thad G. Bolin GASTONIA - Thad G. Bolin, 89, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Robin Johnson House. He was a native of Spartanburg, SC and son of the late John Lowery and Mae Gossett Bolin. Thad was owner and operator of Bolin Electrical Contractors, Inc. He served in WWII in the US Navy, member of the Oasis Temple Shriners, Gastonia Masonic Lodge 369, member of the American Legion and Past Commander of VFW. Survivors include his daughter Becky Harvell and husband Gary of Gastonia; beloved partner of 44 years, Glenda Arndt, of Gastonia; grandson Chad Emmett and fianc‚ Linda Sharp; great grandchildren Courtney Price and Christian Emmett; great, great granddaughter, Payton Smart; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers John and Lewis Bolin; sisters, Ruth Justice, Ruby Boren, Dot Hayes. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 1, at 11:00 at Founders Chapel, McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 prior to the service.
