Tony Genaro Obituary

MAIDEN -- Mr. Tony Genaro, age 52, died Thursday, January 24, 2002 at home.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday at Warlick Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be made at a later date by Michaels Funeral Home in Schaumburg, Illinois.
Mr. Genaro was born on March 30, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois and was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Genaro. Mr. Genaro was a Flying Tiger Employee for 25 years, and was the owner of the Lake Norman Motel and Restaurant. Mr. Genaro made the Carolinas his home for 23 years. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother and son, a loving uncle to Rebecca Grace, Sara Marie and Michelle Anne. Mr. Genaro loved to cook for his friends and family. He was generous, verbal, witty, humorous and wonderful, feared by some and loved by many.
Survivors include his wife, Halina G. Genaro of the home; two sons, Tony Genaro and John Paul Genaro, both of Maiden, NC; one daughter, Mrs. Christina Mullis of Maiden, NC; mother, Mildred Genaro Gosselin of Maiden, NC; one brother, Maurice Genaro of Stanley, NC; one sister, Adrienne Genaro of Prosser, Washington; and one granddaughter, Cecilia Rose Mullis of Maiden, NC.
Warlick Funeral Home is serving the Genaro family.
