what a great person...so sorry to his children and family for this tremendous loss. Had a great time reminiscing of our high school days when we met again after 25 years. May his memory provide some comfort to all during this sad time.

What a tremendously beautiful soul heaven gained this week. Bill's energy, sense of humor, passion for children and friendship is something I will always remember. His strength while faced with the unthinkable is a trait that continues to humble me. And that warm, exuberant smile will live on, always. To his beautiful children, your pop represents the best of the best, and he will always be a part of you. His legend will serve as a lighthouse to all of those he touched for the rest of their days. He was an amazing teacher, mentor and friend. Fair, fun, strong and caring. And his love for you and Jesus came through in every interaction. It is bewildering to imagine how your beautiful hearts must be burdened at such tender ages. I pray that you and your family will find peace in the right time. I pray that you will find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain, and is free to walk and talk with his heavenly father. And... just maybe, find a moment to imagine him trying to play volleyball while keeping his new angel wings out of the way (I can already hear the word "trash" ringing out from on high :-)). Bill's larger- than- life personality, endlessly giving spirit, beautiful humility and boundless courage leaves us all with a lot to think about... that we can do better because God made us in his image and gave us all the tools we need to live up to our full potential. And what a blessing that is.... what a blessing Bill's life and example has been. He will surely be missed. Prayers to all. Many thanks to his children and family for shaping and sharing Bill with the world. ... and to Bill..... go get 'em, coach!!!
