William M. Buckley Prine
'Bill'
Bill Prine, 97, of Charlotte, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday afternoon, May 30, 2010.
He was born March 4, 1913, in Pittston, PA, the son of the late Thomas Buckley and Bertha Emerick Buckley.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Ethel Schink Prine.
Bill spent his career with Bendix Motor Components in New York and retired from that company as a supervisor.
He truly loved the Lord. In his home church in Elmira, NY, he served as Elder, Sunday School Superintendent, and Youth Advisor.
Bill's immediate family includes his daughter, Sharon J. Osborne and her husband, Gary, of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Jana Kristine Gibson and her husband, Chance, of Jonesboro, TN, and Ryan Marshall Osborne and his wife, Nikki, of Wingate, NC; and his great-grandchildren, C.J. Gibson, Kayla Joy Gibson, Brandon Marshall Osborne and Kinsley Blake Osborne.
The family will gather at 6:00 PM, Thursday, June 3, 2010, in the sanctuary of Central Church of God, 5301 Sardis Rd., Charlotte, NC 28270 to greet friends. A service in celebration of Bill's life will begin at 7:00PM. A private committal will take place Friday morning.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorials in Bill's name be made to the Alzheimer's Association, memorywalk2010.kintera.org/kingsport/

I delivered Friendship Trays to Bill Prine for over 12 years. I was always amazed at his energy level and all of the projects he kept doing! When I read an article in the paper a few years ago that said he was 93, I asked him about it and was shocked to learn it was true! He was more energetic than people half his age! I will miss seeing him on my FT route and wish his family peace at their loss...
