Alex Bohanon Obituary
He was the son of Kenneth M. and Tina Cornwell Bohanon of Brasstown, N.C. Alex was a native of Western North Carolina, currently residing in Helena, Mont. He was raised in the Baptist faith.
Alex was a proud veteran of the United States Army, receiving numerous medals, ribbons and commendations.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Christina Shell Bohanon and two beautiful children, son William Alexander Bohanon and daughter Harley Marie Bohanon, all of the home; and his service dog, Lexy. Also surviving are two younger brothers, Robert Bohanon and family of Murphy, and Stephen Bohanon and family of Andrews.
We honor his brothers and sisters in arms, his battle buddies and especially "his 5" (IYKYK).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warriors Project at woundedwarriorsproject.org; Stop Soldier Suicide at stopsoldiersuicide.org; and Tunnel to Towers Foundation t2t.org.
A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Saturday, Aug. 9, at Little Brasstown Baptist Church with the Revs. Aud Brown and Rondall Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon prior to the service.
