Charlotte Morgan Obituary

Feb. 4, 1965-Aug. 13, 2024
After a courageous battle against ovarian cancer, Charlotte Laney Morgan, 59, of Norman Park, Ga., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones. 
Charlotte was born Feb. 4, 1965, in Atlanta, Ga., to the late Carl William Laney and Sarah Jordan Haywood. She graduated from Andrews High School and lived in the surrounding communities before moving to the Moultrie area of South Georgia, where she had lived for over 20 years.
Most importantly, Charlotte knew Jesus and assured her family that she knew Heaven would be her home and that she will be there waiting for them.
In addition to her father, Charlotte was preceded in death by a sister, Tonya Linnea Laney.
In addition to her mother, Sarah Jordan Haywood of Hiawassee, Ga., Charlotte is survived by her husband, Carl Allen Morgan Sr. of Norman Park, Ga.; her daughter Pamela Tomberlin and husband Toby of Moultrie, Ga.; her son, Mitchell Adams of Petaluma, Calif.; her granddaughters, Leighann Carver, Cierra Adams and Charllie Adams;  her grandson, Johnathan Tomberlin, and her bonus grandson, James Tomberlin; her brother, Scott Long of Marble, N.C.; her sister, Patricia Prince and husband Timothy of Marble, N.C.; her nephews, Dustin Lee,  Scotty Long and Andrew Long; her niece, Brittany Stoltzfus; her uncles, Fred Laney, Brannon Jordan and Richard Jordan; and several cousins. 
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 16, at Cobb Funeral Home in Moultrie Ga. Internment was at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens in Moultrie, Ga. Pallbearers were Mitchell Adams, Scott Long, Toby Tomberlin, Rafael Luna and Allen Morgan Jr. 
Cobb Funeral Home in Moultrie, Ga., was entrusted with the arrangements.

I know my mama was loved by all that knew and met her. I could tell from the out pouring of condolences and I want to thank each and every one of yall from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for the thoughts, prayers, flowers and kind words. She is loved still and will be missed greatly. God speed and bless you all.
