Dear Jane and family,
Adelle was one of the first people I met in the Simon / Warso family when I became engaged to Miriam. She immediately made me feel welcome in the family and she became an aunt to me in the next 25 years. Adelle was a warm and engaging person, someone who was deeply interested in the world as shown by her devotion to teaching, nursing, and later in her life to art. She was a loving aunt and great aunt who took great pride and delight in her family. I shall always remember her and will deeply miss her presence.
With love,
David

Dear Jane and Members of the Simon Family,
Esther and I share your grief on the death of Adelle. The Simons have been a window to my Grandmother Leah King’s family, and I felt fortunate that I met Uncle Charley and all of his daughters as I was growing up.
Our lives were also enriched by the Simon visits when we were living in Israel. I admired you, Jane, and your sister when the two of you rented an apartment in Tel Aviv so that Adelle could teach pediatric techniques to nurses in Israel. At that time we also enjoyed meeting Howard and Miriam on their visits to Israel made possible by their father Irv. Our daughter Lea was pleased to meet Barbara’s daughters when she and Paula started together at the University of Chicago.
We think the whole family is remarkable and will miss the occasions when we were able to visit with Adelle.
Love,
Esther and Jerry Delson
