Services and interment for Alice B. Jensen (nee Even), 103, of Arlington Heights and formerly of Port St. Lucie, FL will be private. She was born on August 8, 1913 in Chicago, IL and passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J.; mother of Donna Jensen (William) Burk and B. Gayle Sittaro (Albert); grandmother of Robin Lynne (Scott) Moran and Todd Jensen Sittaro; great grandmother of Abigayle Moran; sister of Rosemary McKinzie, Richard (Edythe) Even and the late Ernest Even, Cecelia Even, Clarence Even and Francis A. Even; aunt of many nieces and nephews; daughter of the late George and Cecelia Even. Alice was an industrious woman of many talents who co-managed the family business, cared for her children and elderly parents and had time for community projects such as work on the Charter Review Committee of Pt. St. Lucie and constructing band uniforms for the local youth. She was Easter Bunny entertaining children at care centers, and Mrs. Santa in the local holiday parade frequently earning recognition in the city newspaper. Her artistry was expressed in sewing, knitting, painting, and occasional poetry and she enjoyed doing something for someone else each day.Though not formally educated in her youth, she obtained her GED while in her 80's earning much admiration from family and friends.She and Irene, her lifelong friend of 95 years, were celebrated in 2013 at 100 years of age on the Steve Harvey TV Show.
