Andrew Domagola Obituary
Andrew B. "Andy" Domagola, age 19, a lifelong resident of Naperville, IL, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, in De Pere, WI. He was born July 6, 1987, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Andy is survived by his parents, Michael and Karen, nee Kupsche, Domagola; sisters Megan and Mary Grace Domagola; maternal grandparents, Roy and Rose Kupsche, paternal grandparents, John and Jane Domagola; aunts and uncles, Ken (Dagmar) Kupsche, Mary Beth Kupsche, Ed Kupsche, Jerry (Sheila) Kupsche, Joe Kupsche, Virginia (Dan) Palicka, Tom (Marybeth) Kupsche, Susan (Larry) McCauley, Jim (Maura) Domagola, Paul (Terry) Domagola and Joe (Becki) Domagola; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by a cousin, Dagmar Rose Kupsche. Andy attended SS. Peter & Paul Grade School and was a 2005 graduate of Benet Academy, Lisle, IL. Andy was currently a sophomore at St. Norbert College, De Pere, WI, pursuing a double major in History and Sociology and was also a Resident Assistant (RA). Visitation Tuesday, 3 to 9 p.m., at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Services will begin Wednesday, Feb. 28, 11:30 a.m., from the funeral home and will proceed to a Noon Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville. Interment: Private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to: SS. Peter & Paul School Teachers Endowment, Benet Academy Tuition Assistance Fund, or St Norbert College Service Trips. For info. (630) 355-0213.

Our hearts ache for you. Although we haven't seen Andy since 6th grade, we remember him as funny, kind and gentle - he was a great kid. We wish to express our heartfelt condolences to Mike and his family regarding the death of his son Andy Domagola. I was one of Mike's roommates in college, and Mike is one of the kindest and most generous human beings I have ever met. It really upsets me knowing the pain Mike and his family are experiencing with such a tragic loss. I have never met Andy, but from everything I have read and heard Andy seemed like a fine young man with a very bright future. His death at such a young age is not only a tragic loss to the Domagolas, but a loss for all of humanity.

To the Domagola family,
Hearing of Andy's death hit me like a ton of bricks. I haven't seen him since I moved away in 7th grade, but I haven't forgotten him. I cannot think of my time at Sts. Peter and Paul without remembering Andy. He was such a friendly and enjoyable person. I cannot begin to imagine the difficulty of his death for you all. May God bless you and the repose of his soul.

Andy was one of the greatest friends I ever had. I have so many memories from grade school all the way up to when he came to my high school graduation party. I only regret losing contact with him in recent years and I am heartbroken that he is gone.

Dear Domagola Family,
I was very lucky to have someone like Andy as one of my residents for my first year as a resident assistant at St. Norbert College. Rarely was he never in a good mood and he helped to make my job easier. When Andy came to me and asked if I would write him a recommendation for him for a position as an RA I did not think twice about it. He had the perfect qualities for the job and I remember writing that I would have like to work with him on my staff. Turns out he made an excellent RA just as I thought he would. Your son's excellent character shows what an excellent family he had. You have my deepest sympathies and prayers during these hard times. May God bless you all.

The Domagola Family,
I was deeply saddened by the news of Andy’s departure. For me, he made my first couple of years at Benet survivable. We would ride the bus to and from school laughing and cracking jokes. Not only was he always able to put a smile on my face; he was always so kind and generous. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Although Andy may be gone, he is certainly not forgotten. I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Andy your son and brother.
Karen I remember how much your kids meant to you when I worked with you on 5ESS years ago. I use to come to Chicago for meetings and when you said you were leaving the company to be with your children I was so upset because I really enjoyed working with you. I am now glad that you did this and got to spend more time with Andy and the girls.

He was "Mr. Campus Ministry" while I was at Benet Academy. When there was a retreat to lead, Andy was there. When there was a mass to celebrate, Andy was there. When there was an Outreach activity, Andy was there. At the abbey switchboard, he was dependable and friendly. It is so difficult thinking and feeling that he is gone. To Mr. and Mrs. Domagola, to Megan, Mary, and grandparents, my deepest, deepest sympathy. May God keep you all together in faith and hope.
