Anne Nathan Obituary

Anne Susan Kubert Nathan, 66, loving wife of Richard; proud mother of Andrew, Thomas, and William; devoted daughter of Judy and the late Joseph M. Kubert; sister to David (Peggy) Kubert and the late Charlie (Karen Muchin) Kubert; daughter-in-law of Ann and the late Walter Nathan; sister-in-law of Susan (Dr. Steven) Sholl, Nina (Steve) Schroeder, and Betsy (Daniel Goldberg) Nathan; a dear aunt to seventeen nieces and nephews; and friend to so many. Anne grew up in Glencoe before attending New Trier High School (1973), graduating from the University of Michigan (1977), and earning an MBA from the University of Chicago (1980). She rose to Vice President at First Chicago Bank before retiring to start her family.

More than anything, she loved the family that she and Richard created. She was selfless and thoughtful, with a great sense of humor, dedicated to helping her adoring friends, family and mother ahead of herself.

She prioritized time spent in the outdoors, especially gardening and hiking. She also had an eye for design and a knack for home improvement passed down from her father. She created a beautiful home for her family, which provided an oasis during the most challenging moments of her battle with cancer.

Surrounded by her family, she bravely fought until the very end and cherished every moment of life. Her presence and grace will be greatly missed, fondly remembered, and always an inspiration. Funeral services: Sunday, June 13th at 1:00 pm at Am Shalom, 840 Vernon Ave., Glencoe. The service will be livestreamed at Anne's webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. The livestream will be up approximately 5 minutes prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (netrf.org). Info: The Goldman Funeral Group (847) 478-1600.
