Papa was a truly remarkable man. In this day and age, there are not many men like my Grandfather. He was hard working, loving, and 100% dedicated to his wife and family. Papa did everything for his family and was always there for each and every one of us. His love for us was unconditional, and he wanted everyone to feel loved. Everything always had to be perfect, and Papa made sure it was in his own unique ways. He wanted the very best for his family. For years, on Christmas, he put on the Santa suit and dressed as Father Time to bring in the New Year. He did these things to make sure we all had the best holidays possible. In all of our eyes, Papa was larger than life.
I remember the days when he smoked his cigars and can smell them like it was yesterday. The talks about baseball and his beloved Cubs. The card games in the basement. The drives to work in with him in the summer. Anyone that ever drove with Papa knows that you can never forget those rides.
He lived a long and happy life. A life resulting in 69 years of marriage, 6 children, 17 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren; All of whom he adored. One could only hope to build that kind of legacy in their lifetime.
While it is difficult to say goodbye, we should all be grateful for the time we have had. Knowing Papa, he is watching over us all right now. He will always be with us, in our hearts and in our memories.
We will miss you Papa and we love you.

I dedicate this poem to my daddy who has never never hurt me ,always respected me and understands me. Never has told on me is always close to save me. The truth is I doubt there is a better dad than mine. He one of a kind .

MY Hero
My dad looks tough as nails and hard as metal.
But the truth is easy to tell He's sweet and loving
and can always understand me Patient he is
And he always makes a big difference in my everyday life.
Even when his days aren't so good
My dad is my hero,
He is my best friend who I can always trust
And I don't have to worry about being misjudged
He is my dad
DAD I LOVE YOU AND I WILL MISS YOU
