Betty Hyland Obituary
Betty Alice Hyland, nee Trouard, of Sunrise of Glen Ellyn, long time Elmhurst resident, originally of New Orleans. Beloved wife of the late Adolph Thomas; mother of Karen A. (William M. Friesenhahn) Hyland and Susan L. (Jeffrey A.) Akey; grandmother of Michael Jeffrey Akey, Thomas Robert Akey and Eric Hyland Friesenhahn; dear daughter of the late Theodore Michael and Bazilide Trouard, nee Dupuy; sister of Robert (the late Joan) Trouard; niece of Marion Johnstone; sister-in-law of Frances (the late Raymond) Macke and John (Melitta) Hyland; aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was former president of the Resident Council at Sunrise of Glen Ellyn, a personal banker at Suburban Bank and Trust, member of Epiphany Ev. Lutheran Church, The Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Guild, former active member of the York Bandors and Lincoln School PTA and Mother's Club. Memorial Visitation at Epiphany Ev. Lutheran Church, 314 W. Vallette, Elmhurst from 9:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Ahlgrim Funeral Home. Info:
