Michael, Katie, Kevin, Marie, and Family,
My heart, thoughts and prayers are with all of you at the passing of a great husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was human without apologies...beety bop. His laughter was contagious and his love even more. He was a fine example of what a Christian should be. Do you guys remember the big vacation from space 101 to 102?
I am praying the intense sorrow of the loss of your father will turn into joy and laughter in all he gave you lovingly and without guilt.
I love you all lots,
Mary Altheimer

To me Uncle Conrad was a great story teller. I could listen to his stories all day. We also had great conversations about the Bears, Cubs and White Sox and he was a very good sport to show up to a Sox game in Comisky park for my Dad's birthday. He and Uncle Tom swore me to secrecy about stepping foot in Comisky park since they hated the Sox but there they were for thier older brother cause they loved family more. That is the thing I will remember about my Uncle Conrad. His love for his family. I would see him in a local restaurant here in Palatine with his wife and he was always taking good care of her. He would tell me about how proud he was of his children and what was happening with them. We talked about getting everyone together for a trip to Las Vegas too. I considered him a good friend and I will miss him dearly. Patrick

Conrad and Virginia Campe and Family were a big part of our family and for the Schreiner kids groing up. Conrad and Ginnie were friends of my parents and Conrad was a good friend of my father's going back to a time before he met my mother. But Conrad and Virginia were amongst my mother's closest and dearest friends. The Schreiners and the Sampsons and the Campes were tied together pretty tight in those "growing-up" days . We did a lot together. I remember Conrad as lighthearted, good spirited, and that he was fun to be around. He and his wife were there with the closeness of a caring and loving Aunt and Uncle. Conrad was one of the Parent-leaders of that clan I grew up in, and was truly well loved and respected by all of us. It is a sad loss but the memory of him will always be a happy celebration of life.
