EDWARD MITCHELL Obituary

Edward Kenneth Mitchell, Sr. of Schaumburg for 43 years, formerly of Elmhurst, IL Born Aug. 30, 1942 in Chicago, he passed away peacefully Mar. 29, 2010. Edward was the adoring husband of 50 years to Audrey, nee Schmidt; beloved father of Kimberly (Paul) Bruns, Edward Jr. (Lisa), Wayne and Koreen (Dennis) Mau; fond grandfather of Alicia, Paige, Kevin, Eddie, Ryan, Kyle, Eric, Rachael, Sean, Lindsay, and Brendan; dear brother of Jack and Margaret (Jim) Shrigley; loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents William and Esther, nee Sommers, brother Thomas, daughter Karrie and granddaughter Erin. Edward was the President of Angler Construction of Schaumburg and had a passion for fishing. Services will begin 10 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 3, 2010 at Michael's Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Rd. (between Wise and Schaumburg Roads) Schaumburg. Interment will be in Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst. Visitation will be held Friday, Apr. 2, 2010 from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Edward's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation www.djrf.org or the American Lung Association www.lungusa.org. Dear Kori: I was on Facebook today and was sorry to read that your father passed away. Uncle Emil and I extend our sincere sympathy to you and your family.
