My belated condolences. Mr. Dodge was my teacher for 2 years. I still have and use the compass and scale purchased from said classes. He was always one of my favorite teachers. I would often be sent to his office on Western to pick something up for him. May he RIP.

Belated condolences to Mr. Dodge's family as I have just learned about his passing. He was my teacher in 1968 for mechanical drafting/drawing. He knew his stuff very well. Our class had a few guys who would never believe what he taught them, so Mr. Dodge actually bet them money (usually anywhere from 25 cents to a dollar) and proved to them where they went astray, and he was right every time!! Sometimes he wouldn't even take their money, as he mainly wanted to show them why they were wrong. He helped lots of students learn mechanical drawing.

Please accept my sincere sympathy. Fifty years ago I was student in Mr. Dodge's, General Shop Class at St. Rita. Mr. Dodge was an excellent teacher and a great role model. As a result of Mr Dodge's influence, I pursued a career as an Industrial Education teacher at Carl Sandburg High School.
