Dear Fran, I was so sorry to hear about the passing of George. I can't think of growing up on Oconto without thinking of your family. You and George were so kind to our family and I had a blast babysitting those great kids! Your family will be in my prayers. Sincerely, Liz (Wilkins)Parkinson

Fran, I just heard about George and can't tell you how sorry I am. What a ball we all had on Oconto and how nice he was to my mom after our dad died. He was a special and kind man and you both will always have a special place in my heart. My mom would say the same thing.

My best to all of you,

Mary Lou (Wilkins) Pier

We pass through life, oftimes aimlessly, and fail to see much of the good that is available. George was an amazing part of the good in life that I was lucky and blessed enough to experience. I am extremely grateful for being able to call him friend.

To you Fran, and your family, I am so sorry for your loss. I wish you all nothing but the very best.

Dear Fran: I will always remember how kind you were when I lost my husband Henry about a year and a half ago. I have been praying for you and your husband since I heard how ill he was. Now I am praying for God to help you get thru your loss as he has been helping me. If you ever need someone to talk to I'm here. Very sincerely Jean Stanko

Expressing our deepest sympathy to the Ficker Families, from your families in Ohio. George was one of a kind, and the minute we met, those 22+years ago, it was instant friendship. Thank you George for giving us Debbie, my sister-in-law. Our thoughts and all of our prayers are with your family. George-say hello to Dad for me, I'm sure the two of you together in heaven...well...watch out God!!! Love and God Bless.

Aunt Fran, Ray, Debbie, Rob, Donna and Dori I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. I don't have to tell you what a wonderful man he was. I will always treasure the memories of bird hunting with him, my father and Ray as well as fishing trips to our cabin. As children the "chaos" that was getting together with the Fickers was always something we looked forward to. Thank you Uncle George for all the great memories. I will always remember your greeting of "Hello Scotts!" and the warm hug that followed. With great love and a heavy heart. Scott Andersohn

How can I begin to express my great sadness at the loss of my dear "uncle George"? I will never forget the wonderful times our families had together. Even at the passing of my parents, Uncle George would always send an email or a note. He was always willing to listen to the latest things going on in my life and did so with genuine interest. Uncle George was one of those people who, when he talked to you, made you feel like you were the most important person in the room. I clearly understand why you were so very special to my mom and dad. You were one of a kind. Say hi to my parents for me, and know I will miss you.
Happy trails...
