Whiteside, age 66, loving husband of Sunny, nee Vaughn; beloved father of Matthew (Ann), Ryan (Bernadette) and Amy; proud grandfather of Brooke, Paige, Kaitlyn and Christopher; beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. Retired Chicago Police Sergeant with 43 years of service. Funeral Thursday, June 7, 10 a.m. from Pietryka Funeral Home, 5734 W. Diversey Ave., Chicago. Mass, 11 a.m. at St. Viator Church, 4170 W. Uncle George was the Best. As soon as he found out my parents still lived in the neighborhood he sent a squad by to check on them all the time. The world has lost an outstanding human being and he will be Dearly Missed. We are so very sorry for your loss.
