To my uncle,

I look up to you in many ways. You where a delicate, peaceful man that looked a terrible ailment in the face but still kept your composure. You told us when the time comes,to celebrate your life, and that we did.You put others feelings first, even in your poorest phase. You made sure everyone else was going to be alright with the outcome, even at the very end.You have proven that bravery and caring come from deep inside. For all of this, I look up to you.I know you will look over all of us now with the same strength you showed here on Earth.Enjoy Paradise as much as we have enjoyed you.

The Gogliotti family was extremely saddened to hear of the loss of Guy Merola, the Leamington Avenue "Heart throb". Living directly across the street, being a friend of Susan's & sitting on the front porch we were all just swept off our feet when Guy flashed us a smile, and I can't remember a time when we didn't get one. Rose was a second mother to my family which brings our hearts very close to the Merola Family. Our deepest sympathy to everyone.

I will always remember all the good times growing up on Leamington. Just hanging out with Guy, his Mom,little sister on the front porch of his house. That got to be the neighborhood hangout. I remember we went downtown to some dance program that was on T.V. after school. We all thought that was so cool to be on T.V.He was such a good dancer.I'm sorry we never kept in touch after high school. We moved to Califronia in 1962. I did call as soon as I heard but Guy was sleeping and didn't want to make a pest of myself by calling back.My best to all his loved ones he leaves behind.

Guy and I were in the band many years ago at Austin. When I heard that he was ill last fall at our reunion I prayed that he would win the fight. He was one of the nicest and kindest people I remember from those long ago times. My sympathy to his family I am certain he will be missed, but never forgotten.

I always felt more comfortable when Guy was around. His wit, wisdom, and peaceful demeanor gave life the sense it was sometimes lacking. Thank you Guy!

Please accept my condolences for he loss of your husband, father, relative or friend. Guy was a classmate at Austin. I remember his sense of humor and his great artistic abilities. I have not seen him since then but I always thought he would become a noted artist.
