Howard Wolff changed my life by guiding me to find a direction when I was in my early 20s. Now 73, I still think of his admonition to not allow anyone to make me a lesser person than I am. My deepest condolences to you. Noreen Marcus, Miami Florida.

Howard helped me and my children for years. He had an honest pure style. I hadn´t talked to him for years but will not forget these conversations. Even the last that was years ago. He was an interesting man with clarity so wise.

I was Howard’s patient for a few years about a decade ago. He was one of a kind. Even though I stopped seeing him in 2011, we kept in touch over the years. He shared my passion for martial arts and was fascinated by the fact that it was a one on one contact sport (no teammates or timeouts to bail you out) and would always quiz me on the mental aspect of it. He used the analogy of getting knocked down and picking yourself up in real life just as one would do in martial arts. I was at a rough point in my life and made the comment to him that sometimes you get hit with something so hard and unexpected that you cannot get up on your own and need a hand. I saw a light bulb go off in his head and he immediately said “I will be your helping hand when that happens”. To this day, it’s one of the most meaningful and touching things anyone has ever said. We also lived and died with the Blackhawks as the won 3 Stanley Cups in 6 years, talking and venting (me more so than him after tough losses). I considered Howard a friend and would like to think he thought the same of me. To Frank and Carolyn: you had an AMAZING dad. I’m sure you already know that. He is not here but he lives on thru you. There is not one conversation I can ever remember having with your dad where your names did not come up and he beamed with pride. Most of us waddle thru life. Howard is one of the few that left his mark and the world is a better place for it. He will be greatly missed but I will always treasure the countless conversations we had
