Greene, nee Hefferon; fond father of Kathleen (John) Zydek and Mary (Ken) Mottet; dear grandfather of Christopher Schultz; great grandfather of Tyler; dear brother of Barbara Greene, uncle of many nieces and nephews. Recipient of Illinois Amvet of the Year Award. Recipient of Four Chaplains Award. Medal of Service and Valor presented during South Korea revisit in 1986.
