John Charters Obituary

John R. Charters, age 74, of Hinsdale, died suddenly, November 9, 2013. Beloved husband of Nancy; brother of Mary Ann Ward; adoring father of his two sons John and Doug; predeceased by his son Brian Charters; grandfather to 7 grandchildren. Also survived by daughters-in-law, Cindy (nee Beckett), Rina (nee Oliva), and Julie (nee Myers). Attended the University of Michigan, both undergraduate and medical school; served in the US Navy for three years; a radiologist at Rush Presbyterian Saint Luke's Hospital for the majority of his career. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson Disease Foundation at 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, New York, 10018, http://www.pdf.org. Memorial Service to follow at the Union Church of Hinsdale.
