Dear DeVine family---I was so saddened to learn of John's passing. Linda and I worked with Peggy at St Pat's H.S. Peggy always loved to share stories about her wonderful family. Was a Pats guy who worked with John at UPS prior to his move to Rockford. We connected in many ways but in particular his concerns about moving his family for his job I always hoped he felt it worked out for him. He was such a sincere and tough minded individual. He was one of the GOOD guys. Praying for you and your family.

Dear Mary, Michael, Philip and the whole Devine Family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss of life in the sudden death of John - brother, husband, father, grandpa, uncle, cousin, friend... What a good, hard working and fun person. A life taken from our Earth far too soon! I, along with many of the sisters, will continue to offer you our prayerful support as you grieve and transition in life without John's physical presence. I pray that you will feel and sense John's presence with you in spirit and be comforted whenever you are in need. John will always live on in your hearts and memories. Our thoughts and prayers to you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss. John was my first boss at UPS back in the mid 90's and helped inspire me to do more. He really cared about his employees and his laugh was absolutely infectious to anyone that worked around him. He was always a great person to go to for advice because he had been in most situations before. We will remember him very fondly and he will be missed.

My heart breaks for you, Mary and the family. John was so very devoted to you and the love he had was always present when he talked about all of you. He was kind, smart, funny, knowledgeable, giving, caring, a great mentor, and will not be forgotten. He put his all in everything he did and there is not one person he interacted with that wasn't impacted by him. He was so proud of his family and left a lasting legacy through you.. May God bless you with your memories of him each and every day.

I don´t remember a day I didn´t see John with a smile on his face at UPS. He was my educator in Part-time Supervisor training and he was awesome. We spoke often about life and our faith and he shared often stories of his sons and their accomplishments. He was a gentle, kind and honest soul. I´m so very sorry for your loss. I pray you find comfort in your memories and that the peace of our Lord will surround you during this difficult time.

Mary, Mike and Phillip, please know that you are in my thoughts and have my deepest sympathy for your devastating loss. I am so glad I got to see John at my son Jon's wedding a few years ago. He was just as I remembered him from years ago, smiling, laughing and enjoying himself. My heart breaks for you all. May his memory be a blessing and comfort to you all.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mary, Michael, Philip, and the entire Devine family. I worked with John at UPS in Rockford, and he was a very passionate man. He worked so hard in developing his management team and employees to do the best job they could do. John was a proud father, a day did not go by without him talking about Michael and Philip. My heart goes out to John's family. What a wonderful father and husband he was. I worked with him from 1995 until he retired. A great man a great person. I always told my wife if I were half the dad John is I'll be doing a great job.
