Dear Ann, Jenny and Family, Jason, and Steven,
You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Uncle John was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be remembered for the love he shared with others. We were so Fortunate to have had Uncle John, Auntie Ann, Jennifer, Kevin and the children at our home to celebrate Christmas Eve 2008. We will always remember the many years spent at the Failla's in Villa Park, IL (and recently in Yorkville, IL) with all our extended family on Christmas Eve. I have special memories of all the cousins playing ATARI, watching Caddy shack and banging on Uncle John’s keyboard creating various obscure songs. At the same time the adults would hang in the kitchen area, talking, laughing and enjoying eating Hungarian sausage and other various goodies. Uncle John was “King” of his always newly renovated domain. All the extended family would look forward to seeing what was newly added or tweaked from the year before. Uncle John was so talented in many ways and he will be Extremely missed. We have so many fond memories of our families getting together not only for the holidays, but also for birthdays, communions and graduation parties as well.
We will always remember Uncle John's kindness, good nature and patience. Please know you're in my families’ thoughts and prayers. We love you all so much.
God Bless you...

Dear Ann,
Our deepest sympathy in the sudden loss of your dear husband. Although, we haven't seen each other in awhile, we have fond memories of attending birthday parties at my brother's home and seeing you on other occasions over the years. We were always delighted to see you both and engage in most cordial conversations which caught us up for the years out of touch. John will be remembered as a wonderful, friendly, upbeat person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time. God Bless and Console you in your time of sorrow.

Dear Ann, Jenny and Family, Jason, and Steven,
You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. John always adored his family and was so proud of you. The last time we saw John was at a wedding. He showed us pictures of his grandchildren, and we talked about his wonderful children. He loved you more than words can express. We always knew how much he loved Ann. They were truly a loving couple and an inspiration to all of us.
We have so many fond memories of our families together. We all attended various school functions and activities. The parents had as much fun as the children did. Every year as we decorate our Christmas tree and put up ornaments we made at Ardmore and Fullerton Schools, it is like seeing old friends again.
We will always remember John's smile and good nature. He was always so happy to see everyone. We will miss him.
Please know we are holding you close in our thoughts and pray you will find comfort in your precious memories.
Take Care...
Love,
Richard and Pam Hiestand

I am so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of John Failla, who was my uncle. I was the ring bearer at Ann and John's wedding. I have fond memories that date back as far as I remember. Summers in Michigan, Christmases, riding on the back of his motor-cycle... He was a fantastic person. So very talented. John, you're one of my heroes! I know I'll see you again some day.
Love - Mark
