John E. Moriarty, age 83, of Prospect Hts. passed away April 20, 2014. Loving husband of Lynn, nee O'Hara; dear father of Meghan (Ryan) Gerrard; fond brother of Rev. James F., Thomas J., (Lorraine), Gerald P. (Mary Anne) Robert V. (Karen) and the late Edward P. (Jean), Marie (the late John) Cummings and Myles T. (Donna); proud grandfather of Jack and Liam Memorial Mass 10:00 am Friday, May 2, 2014 at St. Alphonsus Ligouri Church, 411 N. Wheeling Rd., Prospect Hts. 60070. To Lynn and family-
My thoughts of John always bring a smile. Thinking of him I remember his infectious laugh, his wit and intelligence. I simply enjoyed talking with him and will miss his engaging conversation and wonderful spirit. I also remember how proud he was of Meghan and her beautiful family. These fond rememberances will continue to remind us of a very special person.

I worked with John for many years at Baiocchi Associates. He was truly a good person with a great sense of humor and a great deal of compassion for people. My deepest sympathies to Lynn and Meaghan.

John and I started at Quigley Seminary in class 1E over 69 years ago. I admire him for his humor, his love and concern for others, his service to his country as a Chaplain. He was truly a "Sogarth Aroon to his people
