Joe was a great neighbor and I enjoyed speaking him in the alley between our houses on Greenwood and Elmwood when Joe and Cris lived in Wilmette. He was kind enought to let my son go through their basement when they were moving out to pick out his children's old toys and hockey equipment before they moved out of their house (which they still play with). We were all sad to hear of his passing all too soon. Love and thoughts to Cris and the Novak children - may God lift up your hearts and may you all have sweet memories of a good man. He will surely be missed.
