I am so sorry to hear of Joe´s passing. He was a dear friend and a fellow collaborator with Ron. Ron thought very highly of Joe and enjoyed working and socializing with him. Perhaps they will meet again and share stories together.

To Candace and extended family,
I am greatly saddened to hear of your loss. Joe was a fabulous work associate for many years and he truly made my day whenever we had interactions. I very much appreciated his integrity and knowledge in reaching for the truly advanced concepts in financing and banking. Joe was truly unique and will be missed.
He and you all will be in my prayers.

I worked with Joe for nine years. He was one of the brightest bankers I worked around. He was well thought of by the junior bankers and a great teacher. But what I will always remember is his sense of humor and no matter how stressful the situation, that he would always be cracking a smile. He will be greatly missed.

Rizzi Family- It is terrible when these things happen, especially around Christmas but I will always remember Joe as the "individual" that he was and he certainly was one. Never met another person like him. He was one of the smartest people I´ll ever meet. He always enjoyed telling a joke at lunch( he had a thousand of them), a great meal ( he was an Olympic eater) , a strong cup of coffee ( make that 10 cups) and his ever present snacks.
If you ever were stuck for a cookie or a candy bar he was your go to guy.
Hard to believe that Rob, Leora, Caughey, joe and I ate lunch together over 1500 times. Each one is a memory.
RIP my friend . You are missed.

Joe was a great brother, son, father, grandfather and husband. He was the smartest person I know; and I was so proud to call him my little brother. I will greatly miss our talks and his wonderful intelligent insight into what was happening in the world, business and banking. I will miss our dinners together and his enjoyment of good food and the hunt for the perfect cup of espresso. We always enjoyed our time together. I can’t not believe you are gone, you will be missed. I love you Joe, say hi to mom and our father’s for me.

Joe was my brother in law. He was a very close friend and confidant to me over the years. Joe was one of the hardest working people I have ever known. His focus on his career was because he told me he never wanted to have his family experience the economic concerns he had a child. He loved his family so much and was dedicated, especially to his wife Candy, his children; Jenny, Joey and Samantha, his grandchildren, to his brother Lou and to the rest of the extended family. I will never forget the Northwoods Fishing Trips I took with Joe, my brother Jeff and my father Robert. We all laughed and and such great times up there. I think the best time of his life was when he retired from his 80+ hour work weeks and spent his life with his kids and grandkids. I know Joe would be telling us all ,"Please enjoy your life and love your family....this is a gift ...don't let the stress of life get you down....live and enjoy" I will miss him dearly and will always look to him as a brother. Joe say hello to everyone you now see in heaven.

I want to express my sympathy to the Rizzi family. I worked with Joe at LaSalle Bank and ABN Amro for many years. He was very proud of his family and his Italian heritage. He was, also, a great coworker!

Joe will always be one of my heroes. He was a major reason I came to the US and was a great coach and friend. His reading and seeking knowledge, but also sharing his intellect and experience in work and in teaching was inspirational. I enjoyed teaching at AIF and at Notre Dame Mendoza with you. While I was teaching I was learning from my co-teacher. I miss our chats - every one of them always full of laughs. God bless and Rest In Peace. Prayers for your family including the grandchildren I heard so much about.

My deepest Condolences to the entire Rizzi Family. Mr. Rizzi was always a bit of sunshine when he visited our Dental office, we adored him and were always touched with the love and devotion that he displayed with his Grandson Jimmy. Sammy, I cherish our friendship that has grown through the years and am here for you always. Sending love and prayers to you all. I hope you find peace in knowing that your loved one is in the kingdom of heaven.
