Mrs. Barrett was one of my favorite teachers at Trinity. I echo the sentiment of others who share a great fondness for her and her contributions to our development. I was sharing my favorite story of her explaining the Louisiana Purchase and the relationship to my Haitian heritage when I heard the news. I am deeply saddened by the loss and extend my condolences to every family, friend and student she had the opportunity to touch. May she rest in peace

John, Nora, and Katie
Never did a person make you feel like the MOST important person in the room than Mary Barrett. I will always remember her for her gift of welcoming you at your first acquaintance (mine was as Nora and Katie's vball coach) and never forgetting to ask you about each of your family members ...by name (and I had a lot) every time you met again. Thoughtful, kind and caring - always happy for others and their accomplishments. You were lucky to have had such a wonderful and loving wife and mother as I feel blessed to have known Mary and consider her my friend. I am out of town for the services, but will be watching the service.
Rest in peace comfortably and pain free, Mary, as the beautiful person you are deserves.
