I loved/love my brother very much. I feel as though we were definately meant to learn from Matt's passing. All Matt needed was gas in his car and a pack of Marbs and he was good to go. I know that I took our relationship for granted, but he was blood and I thank God that he and I were siblings. I will never take Matt's life for granted again. I can't. All I can do and all my family can do is remember the good and generous person that Matt was and be thankful that we knew him, though it was only a short time. I don't ask why Matt was taken because there's no other reason than it was his time to go Home. God wanted Matt with Him and we should be thankful that Matt is where he has found eternal peace and happiness. I would like to say that we so appreciate everything that everyone has done for us...all of you are so amazing! Thank you for your condolences. My condolences also go out to everyone who knew and loved Matt because we all lost someone, not just his family.

I remember Matt as being a fun, energetic guy that just always had a smile on his face. He was the security guard at the Disability Bureau when I worked there, and always had a great story to tell. My heart goes out to his family and we who knew Matt are all saddened and shocked that he was taken far too soon.

I met Matt here at work, The Disability Determination Bureau of Madison, WI., where he was our security guard. He was a very pleasant young man to be around. Always, stopped and said hello to you no matter what was going on. He was always kind and certainly knew how to make you laugh and feel good. He will be sadly missed. I just found out about this today at work. My sympathy goes out to the family.

I am so sorry and I send all my sympathy to the family. Matt was a very special person and so much fun to talk to. Although I only knew him for a short time through his job and then as a friend I will miss him sorely. All my prayers are with his family.

I cant express my saddness of this loss. when I was told Matt had passed, I went numb. Matt was one of my oldest and dearest friends, he was like a brother. And like brothers we sometimes got into trouble in our youth...lol. he was a free spirit and he lived life to the fullest, I did not know too many people that did not enjoy his company. Even though in the past 8 or so years, we were apart for long periods of time due to the army and geographic distance, we always kept in touch. He was a man of honor in my wedding and I was to be one in his. When my son was born, he drove down from WI to visit us. thats who Matt was, he was there for his friends, and he would give the shirt off his back to help someone. My sympathy goes out to his family. I have great respect for your strength, you guys were so strong at the church service, God is with you. God is with Matt.

Farwell my brother, try not to cause too much trouble up there!

I was so very sorry to hear about Matt. I was his counselor at St. Joe's; he was one of my favorite students of all time. He had such a good heart, he always thought of others before himself and he had such a great sense of humor. My most vivid memory will always be laughing with Matt. I know and he knew how much his family loved him and I hope you know how much he loved all of you. You have my deepest sympathies, it is a great loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
