Maxwell Robinette Obituary

Max Robinette, 79, of Lake Forest passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on March 10, 2014. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lorinda (Lindy), and is survived by his adoring family, daughter Jennifer Fairlamb, son in law Remington and grandchildren Amy and Preston. Max was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI. He is the son of the late Allan and Edna Robinette and brother of the late Jane Rodenhouse. He graduated from Michigan State University and served his country as an officer in the Navy stationed at Pearl Harbor. Max spent his professional career in the electronics industry where he worked as a general manager and area vice president for Avnet Corp. Upon retirement he put his leadership skills to work as a consultant to the Career Resource Center, and as president of the Ephraim Yacht Club, Ephraim Foundation, Heritage Fund, and Ephraim Condo Association, as well as treasurer of the Midsummer's Music Festival. He obtained his commercial captain's license and enjoyed many years of sailing and boating with family and friends. His other interests included tennis, golf and sharing a laugh or story with those he loved. A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Thursday, April 24, 2014 at The Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 E. Westminster, Lake Forest, IL. No visitation. Interment will be in Door County, WI, this summer. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to The Ephraim Foundation, P.O.
